Three Boys and Four GirlsErnest George's mother, Victoire Augustine Masselin, had seven children, the first four with Jules Nicholas Alberque and the last three with Jacques Ernest Alberque, Jules' brother, who married the widow when Jules died: Angele Augustine, 1857 Henri Ernest, 1858 Victor Jules, 1859 Ernestine Augustin, 1860 Helene, 1867 Ernest George, 1875 Gabrielle, 1877 Only five survived to adulthood (Angele and Henri died as infants) and, of those who survived, two died as relatively young women (Ernestine and Gabrielle). No photograph of Ernestine has been located and the only picture of Gabrielle is from her childhood. However, here are the other three siblings who lived relatively long lives, 65-85 years.
